Is Ford PH bringing the new Mustang?

MANILA: Ford Motor Company Philippines has released a teaser video on its Facebook page, hinting that it might bring the latest iteration — or maybe a special variant — of the Mustang soon.

The Blue Oval brand is synonymous with pony cars and it’s not surprising that the American carmaker’s local arm is set to introduce a new ‘Stang.

In the said video, a horse can be seen prancing around as it kicks off specks of dust with each gallop. The background is dim with just a faint light shining on the trotting steed. In between, the video shows the Mustang emblem and a message that said “catch these icons soon.”

American car buyers can purchase the 2024 Ford Mustang that boasts a redesigned fascia. Its front end looks sleeker and a somewhat larger, wider grille compared to what is currently sold here in the country.

The United States (US)-spec 2024 Ford Mustang is also equipped with an “all-new” 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 315 horsepower.

Ford US is also selling special variants of the Mustang nameplate, which are the GT Premium Fastback and Convertible as well as the Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium.

Since Ford Philippines did not specifically disclose what Mustang will be released soon, we can only make guesses about the company’s teased release.

Regardless of what version Ford Philippines will unveil soon, we’re sure that fans of the Dearborn-based brand’s popular performance car will definitely want to have one in their stables.

Also in the same video, the Bronco badge was shown. This could mean that the reveal of the new Mustang will coincide with the arrival of the Bronco model in the country.
