Isuzu PH highlights 2024 D-Max anew at Cebu

MANILA: Following its launch late last month, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) showcased to the Queen City of the South the D-Max’s latest edition through its continuing nationwide promotion.

Last July 5-7, the Japanese automaker’s local distributor conducted the latest Isuzu D-Max Mall Tour and 4x4 Action Playground at the SM Seaside Cebu to let customers in the Visayas region check out and test drive the pick-up truck’s newest iteration.

Clients were able to see six display units that represented the new Isuzu D-Max at the venue while actor and singer Rayver Cruz joined the opening festivities.

At the end of the festivities, IPC President Tetsuya Fujita and IPC Executive Vice President Shojiro Sakoda led the formal turnover of two Isuzu D-Max units by handing over the keys to the buyers who had reserved their units prior to the local launch.

Aside from that, one of the highlights of the three-day program is the Isuzu 4x4 Action Playground. The test course demonstrated the new Isuzu D-Max’s off-road and safety features with its 4x4 hydraulic ramp, articulated ramps, side cambers, and a forward collision wall.

“Cebu is a very important market for Isuzu, which is why we intend to showcase the new D-MAX here through actual product demonstrations, so that our customers can truly experience the technological innovations we have integrated into this new model,” Fujita said.

IPC is set to conduct the next Isuzu D-Max Mall Tour and 4x4 Action Playground at SM Lanang Davao on July 26-28.

The 2024 Isuzu D-Max boasts a new differential lock system and its rough terrain mode that allows it to traverse various road conditions. It also has enhanced safety features such as the around view monitor and digital video recorder — stating that it is also ready to provide the needs of tech-savvy customers.

Propelling the spruced-up Isuzu D-Max is either a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX (which can dish out up to 187 horsepower [hp> and 450 Newton-meters [Nm> of torque) or a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC (that offers a peak churn of 147 hp and 350 Nm).

Offered in Namibu Orange, Biarritz Blue, Onyx Black, Islay Gray, Satin Pearl White, and Splash White, the updated Isuzu D-Max can be had in the following variants and their respective price tags:
