Isuzu's specialized training program covering topics like Diesel Engine Technology, Common Rail Fuel System, and Engine Management System.During the signing of memorandum of agreement (MOA) on Tuesday, August 8, IPC President Tetsuya Fujita and IPC Executive Vice President Shojio Sakoda handed over a new four-post lifter with wheel aligner and one unit of Isuzu D-Max to JZGMSAT Vocational School Administrator Benito Reyes and TESDA Calabarzon Regional Director Baron Jose Lagran.
“It’s been six years since we started this partnership, and the continuous collaboration between IPC and JZGMSAT says a lot about the importance and sustainability of this program. More than the equipment we provided, it’s the culture of knowledge sharing that’s more important, for us to be able to share with them our expertise on Diesel Engine Technology, so the trainees can have more advantage when they graduate,” Fujita stated.
IPC has previously donated desktop computers, mock-up diesel engines, and two units of automotive lifters to the school as part of this corporate social responsibility initiative that began in 2017. These donations are still being used by the school's service mechanic trainees during their practical classes.
Also included in the MOA is IPC's specialized training program covering topics like Diesel Engine Technology, Common Rail Fuel System, and Engine Management System, similar to its Auto Mechanic school in Tacloban, Leyte.
“We are very thankful to Isuzu Philippines for their continuous support to our vocational school. The equipment and technical training that they provide to us are all very beneficial in improving the competency of our trainees. This will truly help them in their practical classes and prepare them for real world scenarios,” Reyes said.
IPC has executed other social responsibility campaigns across the country over the years, but they claim that this one is particularly meaningful to them.
“We truly believe in the power of education. This is something we can give to the younger generation and hope that it will be able to change their lives in the future,” Fujita said.
