Isuzu PH turns over 22 Traviz L units to City of Talisay

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has donated 22 examples of the Isuzu Traviz to the City of Talisay in Cebu. 

Specifically, the Japanese marque’s local arm kitted out the Traviz L units with a Utility Van body to serve as emergency vehicles for the said city’s various barangays. 

According to Isuzu, the Traviz is a good fit for Talisay’s emergency response teams due to the model’s robust and fuel-efficient 2.5-liter 4JA1 engine. At maximum, the said four-banger diesel motor can produce up to 77 horsepower and 177 Newton-meters of torque. 

Thanks to a combination of its spacious utility van body and its 1,600-kilogram payload capacity, it also has the necessary space to fit emergency response equipment and personnel. 

“The Isuzu Traviz is widely chosen for its high payload capacity, dependable engine, and the strong aftersales support we offer. We are proud to be a part of Talisay City’s initiatives to enhance public safety and emergency response,” IPC Assistant Division Head for Sales Robert Carlos said. 

To note, brand-new vehicles were handed by IPC during Talisay Mayor Anthony Gullas Jr.’s State of the City address. Representatives of the Philippine National Police, the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, non-government organizations, and various civil society organizations likewise witnessed the turnover. 

The City of Talisay’s acquisition of the Traviz units represents its proactive stance when it comes to disaster risk reduction and management. 

As mentioned above, the aforementioned examples of the Isuzu-made commercial vehicle will enable each of the city’s barangays to effectively address the needs of the community in times of crisis, ranging from medical emergencies to natural disasters. 

Apart from being used as a capable emergency vehicle by various local government units around the country, the Traviz can also meet the logistics needs of small to large businesses. With its accessible price ranging from P1.04 million-P1.11 million, it also provides added value to business owners as well.
