It's June 11 and Nissan's New Urvan is Here!
MANILA: The wait is over and as promised earlier by the Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI), it has formally launched the 2015 NV 350 Urvan on the date and at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City. During the event, The NPI President and Managing Director, Antonio Zara has laid a big hope that the company is expecting to sell 3500 to 4000 units of this new van in a year's time.
The 2015 NV 350 Urvan has got a revamped front with sharper halogen headlights, larger bumper, restyled side windows and refurbished grille. Turning to the side, the van has new character lines as well as one sliding door for the rear passengers. The refinements in design are continued at the rear also where there is refreshed bumper with chrome emblem and new taillights to be seen in pair with third brake light. The final finishing comes with 15-inch wheels.
The improved interiors of the new van has better air-conditioning design for passenger's comfort where in there are individual vents mounted at the rear ceiling. NPI says that the van has added legroom and elbow room due to its redesigned interior space. There is also tilt steering column with adjustable driver seat option. The cabins are huge which can offer seats up to 18 passengers.
The technical aspect is that the van is powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine that produces power of 129 PS at 3200 rpm and torque of 356 Nm in between 1400 and 2000 rpm. The engine is mated with five-speed manual transmission and comes with reliable braking power for safety. Enhancing the safety, are the shift indicators on the dashboard which gives visual indications to the driver of when to shift.
Nissan has already surprised the pick up segment with its Navara and now with this upbeated van, it is ready to steal a bigger slice of this segment.
