Jaguar rolls out 300 Sport variants, Amazon Alexa for XE and XF models

MANILA: The Jaguar XE and XF provide customers more options and technologies than ever with the launch of the new 300 Sport variants and the inclusion of Alexa voice control and what3words across the range.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the 300 Sport variants of Jaguar XE and Jaguar XF?

The 300 Sport variants of Jaguar XE and Jaguar XF are powered by an Ingenium petrol engine that produces 300ps and 400Nm of torque.
  • What functions can Amazon Alexa perform?

Voice commands that can be made include "Alexa, navigate me home," "Alexa, play my chill-out playlist," and "Alexa, show me nearby coffee shops," and more.
  • The 300 Sport variants are characterized by their Black Pack, Gloss Black contrast roof, and privacy glass, and are available exclusively with a smooth, refined Ingenium four-cylinder petrol engine and all-wheel drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics.

Customers can also choose between a sliding panoramic roof and a fixed panoramic roof on the XE and XF 300 Sport, while the XF Sportbrake 300 Sport has a fixed panoramic roof.

The XE 300 Sport comes with 20-inch Dark Satin Grey "Style 1014" wheels with a diamond-turned finish. The XF 300 Sport Saloon and Sportbrake variants also come with 20-inch wheels, which are labeled as "Style 5107."  The unique five split-spoke design comes in two finishes: standard Gloss Silver with Gloss Black inserts, and optional Satin Black with Gloss Black inserts for even more aesthetic appeal.

    Jaguar XF 300 Sport

All variants are available in a wide range of solid and metallic colors, including two premium metallic paints: Carpathian Grey and Silicon Silver. Monogram Aluminum and Satin Charcoal Ash veneers highlight the exquisite, handmade interiors of the XE and XF 300 Sport, respectively, along with the superbly tactile metal gearshift paddles and bright metal pedals.

    Jaguar XE 300 Sport

The new 300 Sport variants offer the luxury and sophistication that Jaguar drivers expect and deserve, as well as the remarkable performance and agility that Jaguar drivers anticipate. All have advanced double wishbone front and Integral Link rear suspension systems, which are enhanced by Adaptive Dynamics that adjusts damping forces constantly to provide the best mix of comfort and speed. Customers may customize steering, suspension, and powertrain settings to their preferences via Configurable Dynamics.

The Ingenium petrol engine produces 300ps and 400Nm of torque. It offers excellent performance and traction in all conditions when combined with all-wheel drive with Intelligent driveline Dynamics. The XE 300 Sport accelerates from zero to 100kph in 5.9 seconds, while the XF Saloon and Sportbrake take 6.1 and 6.2 seconds, respectively. Each vehicle's top speed is 250kph.

Amazon Alexa is standard on the new XE and XF 300 Sport, as it is on all other variants. It seamlessly integrates Alexa into the vehicles, allowing for natural voice interaction with the Pivi Pro infotainment system's functions such as navigation, music, podcasts and audiobooks, calls, and connected smart devices.

    Jaguar XF 300 Sport

Voice commands that can be made include "Alexa, navigate me home," "Alexa, play my chill-out playlist," and "Alexa, show me nearby coffee shops." The driver can also ask to get the latest news, weather, and manage their schedule or shopping list. Alexa is a cloud-based assistant that is always upgrading, with new features being added automatically.

    Jaguar XE 300 Sport

Customers can operate Alexa while keeping their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road because it is simple to use. Alexa can even operate compatible smart home features like heating and lighting from the comfort of the interiors of the XE and XF. The driver can simply say something like, "Alexa, set the living room temperature to 20 degrees."

Over 55,000 Jaguar car owners have received Alexa as part of a software-over-the-air update for their XE and XF with Pivi Pro.

    Jaguar XF 300 Sport

Customers in the UK will be able to monitor their vehicle from anywhere using the Jaguar Remote Skill on any Alexa-enabled device. They can use features like "Alexa, ask Jaguar if my doors are locked" or "Alexa, ask Jaguar if my windows are open."

Both the XE and the XF come with a slew of smart features that make travel easier, more fun, and more connected.

what3words navigation is now available in Pivi Pro (market-dependent). what3words is a new service that allows the driver to set destinations without using post codes by utilizing a unique combination of three words that describe a three-meter square location: simply type the words — clean.corporate.card, for example – into Pivi's navigation search box.

If the driver wants to know the what3words reference for a certain location, they can do so by long-pressing the map on the touchscreen. This feature, like Alexa, has already been supplied to existing Pivi Pro owners of the XE and XF models via a software-over-the-air update. what3words is available worldwide except for China, Japan, and South Korea.

The 300 Sport variants also come with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover , the Pivi Pro can connect two phones at the same time, and a wireless device charging pad in the center console with a signal booster improves network reception and Wi-Fi.
