Jaguar F-PACE

Jaguar provides its customers with an option to build their own F-Pace. The car comes with a long list of standard features and above that Jaguar provides a number of alluring options that are hard to overlook. Firstly, what you get with every F-Pace is an interior space that is a perfect blend of luxury, sophistication, and sportiness. The interior space is a true reflection of British precise craftsmanship that includes premium handpicked leather, material, and fine finish. Other standard functions are interior lighting, manual dipping interior rear view mirror, and JaguarSense with an overhead light console. Now, turning to the optional features, there are six areas that can be modified according to customers’ requirements – steering wheel, headlining, veneer, multimedia interior trim and front seating.

Interior Comfort

Comfort and continence are words synonymous to Jaguar and the F-Pace rightly follow this legacy.  The car is stuffed with a number of alluring features that keeps one bounded to Jaguar's magical spell. As mentioned before, the F-Pace offers a number of standard comfort features and if you are one on the more pampered side then the optional section is the place for you. Starting from the very base, each model comes with carpet mats, color-coded touchscreen surround, smoker's pack, reversible load space carpet, and 2 zone climate control. Also, the car features 2-zone climate control system with rear air-con vents that maintain the temperature inside. On the optional front, you can opt for a 10-way electric front seat with memory pack, heated multi-functional steering wheel, and much more. As for storage compartments, there is no dearth of the same as if features a lockable glove box for your valuables,  centre console storage with a color code, front armrest storage component, and shopping bags hook.

Interior Measurements

The interiors of Jaguar F-Pace are very spacious. There is no lack of head and leg room on both front and rear rows. To be specific the leg and knee room at the back measures 945 mm and 65 mm respectively, making it spacious enough for three average size adults. The storage space is also not less and the boot space stands at a generous 650-litre which is enough for our daily chores as well as long journeys.

Stereo and Accessories

Jaguar F-Pace offers a wide array of entertainment and informational systems that will not only ease your driving experience but also increase the safety front by manifold. The car offers two options for the infotainment system – InControl Touch and InControl Touch Pro, first one as a standard option. The InControl Touch system offers an 8-inch touchscreen with 5-inch instrument panel with analogs display. Accompanying it is an 80W Jaguar Sound System (11 speakers) that comes with FM, i-Pod, USB, Bluetooth and AUX connection. The Pro is obviously on the higher side and offers a 10.2-inch touchscreen with multi-touch gestures. It comes mated with a 380W meridian digital sound system (17 speakers), FM, iPod, Bluetooth, USB(2), 10GB usable memory and CD/DVD drive. Also, InConnect Control allows one to connect F-Pace with his/her mobile with the help of the InControl App.

Jaguar F-Pace takes its styling inspiration from the recently launched F-Type, a sports car available in both coupe and convertible body design. F-Pace is a performance sport utility vehicle with sports car DNA, thus hinting toward an agile and powerful exterior appearance. A mere second look is enough to excite you, giving you an adrenaline rush and a strong zeal to own one. The market is already stuff with performance SUV's like BMW X5, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Porsche Macan, but the F-Pace is different, it’s new. The car carries dynamic looks and at the same time has an aerodynamic concentrated body dimensions. The aerodynamic quotient is an important aspect of a performance car and so Jaguar has taken full care of the same. Every curve, every bump all of it supports the car's aerodynamic cut-out, helping it giving an impressive drag coefficient and reduce fuel consumption. The J-Blade headlights continue to feature in F-Pace too, giving the driver better visibility and it is accompanied F-Pace imposing grille. On the side are present prominent wheel arches, sharp crease line, and body color door handles. The rear end has a bumpy shape inspired by F-Type and also gets LED tail lights. So, in all F-Pace is all about aerodynamics and is intelligently built by Jaguar to provide both style and performance to its customers.

Exterior Measurements

All the four variants – Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition are built on the same platform that underpins Jaguar F-Type. Its overall dimension sheet is impressive, giving this SUV, all what it takes to a performance vehicle. Jaguar F-Pace displays an overall length of 4731 mm, width of 2070 mm (mirrors folded) and height of 1652 mm. With 2874 mm of wheelbase, this SUV provides ample amount of interior space, making long journeys feel short. As for the ground clearance, it measures 213 mm, keeping the machine down-under protected.

Wheels

Aerodynamics plays an important part in the over all car aesthetics and this fact is applicable to its wheels also. Jaguar F-Pace runs on light weight, aerodynamic proof wheels that enable it to run on all kind of terrains. Jaguar offers a wide range of alloy wheels from 18 to 20-inch that rightly complements its dynamic looks.

Jaguar F-Pace is a performance Sport Utility Vehicle, so to expect much on the mileage front is a waste. But Jaguar has incorporated its sporty SUV with two great engines that help it delivering a decent fuel economy. The Pure and Prestige variants are powered by a 2.0L 4-CYL 132 kW AWD auto engine that shows an urban fuel economy of 6.2L/100km, an extra urban economy of 4.7L/100km and combined economy of 5.3L/100km.  As for the R-Sport and First Edition trims, which are powered by a 3.0L TDV6 221kW AWD auto engine shows an urban fuel economy of 6.9L/100km, extra urban economy of 5.6L/100km and combined economy of 6.0L/100km

The Jaguar F-Pace is available in two engine options, a 2.0L and 3.0L mill for that matter.  The Pure and Prestige trims are powered with the 2.0L 4-CYL Turbo engine is from a new breed of engine designed for effortless performance, refinement and efficiency. It generates a maximum power of 180 PS along with a peak torque of 430 Nm. Next, is the powerful 3.0L engine that showcases excellent dive-ability and immediate performance. It powers the R-Sport and First Edition trims wherein it gives away 300 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque. Power from the engine is transmitted to all four wheels through the 8-speed automatic gear box, found in all four trims.

Power

Coming to the power section, get ready to see some great figures and that too from all the four trims. Of course, the R-Sport and First Edition variants rank high as they are powered by the bigger 3.0 TDV6 221kW AWD auto mill and generates maximum power of 221kw with 700 Nm of peak torque. As for the 2.0L mill that powers the Pure and Prestige trim, power output measures 132kw and torque stands high at 430 Nm.

Acceleration and pick up

Acceleration and pick-up figures are astonishing, as one can expect from a Jaguar and that too from its performance SUV. The Pure and Prestige trims can go from a naught to 100km mark in 8.7 seconds, after reaching the top speed of 208km/h. As for the sportier trims that are powered by the 3.0 mill, going from 0 to 100km/h takes 6.2 seconds and they display a top speed of 241 km/h.

Jaguar F-Pace is built on a lightweight aluminium structure that allows it to offer high efficiency with impressive ride quality and great performance. Further enhancing its handlings are front fish bone suspension and integral link rear suspension. Adaptive dynamics, electronic power assisted and dynamic setting adds to the entire driving experience. The car comes with multiple driving mode including dynamic (faster gear shift) and eco-mode (low CO2 emission).

Safety and Security

Jaguar F-Pace comes stuffed with Airbags for all the passengers including a dual stage airbag for the driver and front passenger. It also has a blind spot monitoring system that never leaves any unseen spot on the road for the driver. The pedestrian contact sensor makes the car safe for the occupants as well as the people outside the vehicle. Apart from these exquisite features, it also has the Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Park Assist, Trailer Stability Assist, Surround Camera System, and Engine Drag Torque Control. For security purpose, it has an immobilizer and alarm system.
