JD Power US IQS hails Ram as top brand for 2024

MANILA: The J.D. Power US Initial Quality Study (IQS) has hailed Ram as the top-performing vehicle brand for 2024. The study also designated the carmaker as the highest-ranking marque among mass-market automakers in the United States.

In the individual model category, the study bestowed the RAM 1500 a first-place ranking in the full-size Light Duty Pickup segment. The Ram 2500/3500 was also given by J.D. Power third place among Heavy Duty Pickups. 

Notably, the Ram 1500 has been in the top three within its category four times in five years. It is likewise the second time it has become the top-ranking vehicle within its segment. 

According to the Michigan-based automaker, Ram has ranked within the top three J.D. Power IQS studies in the last five years. As such, its latest achievement Ram Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chris Feuell said, is proof of the innovation and hard work of the people behind its lineup of pickup trucks. 

“This recognition is particularly uplifting because our customers are extremely demanding. Satisfying them to the point where we rise above every other brand in the industry is testament to the boundless creativity of our designers and engineers, and the unwavering dedication of our assemblers and dealers,” Feuell said. 

For those unaware, the yearly J.D. Power US IQS covers car brands sold in the United States. Its results take into account feedback from each marque’s purchasers and repair data taken from July 2023 to May 2024,  to find the best among the best in terms of quality. 

The study considers individual bits of a given vehicle, including power trains, interiors, infotainment, control and displays, driving assistance, seats, climate, driving experience, and unspecified (unique to repair). 

In the Philippines, the Auto Nation Group Incorporated distributes Ram pickup truck models. The American vehicle company’s locally available models include the 1500 Rebel, priced at P4.8 million, and the 1500 TRX, which retails at P8.85 million.
