MANILA: Jeep has released a teaser video for its upcoming all-electric Wagoneer S.

To join the marque’s lineup soon, the sport utility vehicle’s battery electric vehicle version will be sold in the United States within the second half of the year, then in key markets worldwide.

In a statement, Jeep said that the purely-electric Jeep Wagoneer S features a powertrain that can deliver as much as 600 horsepower and can sprint to 100 kilometers per hour in less than four seconds. The mill also has a 4xe capability with all-terrain management, advanced Jeep brand-focused technology and impressive performance credentials.

At the front of the vehicle is the iconic seven-slot Jeep brand grille that has been re-imagined as it will come with LED illumination.

Per Jeep, the forthcoming offering is part of its ongoing global electrification initiative that is transforming 4xe into the new 4x4 in pursuit of its vision of accomplishing Zero Emission Freedom.

“The plan is in full support of Stellantis' ambition to become a carbon net zero corporation by 2038 as outlined in the company's Dare Forward 2030 long-term strategic plan,” Jeep added.
