JMC distributorship in PH now under Astara

Astara has been appointed as the sole Philippine importer of pick-up trucks from Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC). The agreement led to the global mobility brand taking over the local distribution of new vehicles, parts, and services for the Chinese automaker.

    Prior to the aforementioned development, Astara was already in charge of the distributorship of automotive brands Peugeot and GAC Motor.

    Its local distribution of JMC vehicles is also part of its strategic expansion in Southeast Asia, which began in 2021. Per Astara, its main goal is to create a solid dealer network, achieve leadership in the pick- up segment, and implement effective strategies to promote and strengthen the brand’s image and products.

    Meanwhile, Jiangxi Jiangling Motors Import and Export Company President Suen Xiaoquan also expressed elation over the partnership with Astara.

    “We are delighted to collaborate with Astara in the pickup vehicle market. Together, we will offer more choices, better options, and exceptional customer service, all designed to meet the evolving needs of the market and exceed the expectations of Philippine consumers,” the company's top executive vowed.
