JMC PH introduces new holiday promos for Vigus, Grand Avenue

MANILA: Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) Philippines, under the distributorship of the Astara Group, has introduced new financing initiatives and exclusive offers just in time for the holiday season. 

Per the local arm of the Chinese marque, the said offers will make the Vigus and Grand Avenue pickup trucks more attainable for would-be buyers. 

“We are thrilled to roll out these exciting offers for our new customers. The Grand Avenue and the Vigus herald a new era of automotive innovation, ensuring top-notch quality pickups and exceptional service are within everyone’s reach,” Sales Director of JMC Philippines Michael John del Pilar said. 

For starters, the Grand Avenue is seeing up to P100,000 slashed off its suggested retail price. The Vigus, meanwhile, is made available with a discount of up to P45,000.

The holiday promo for the JMC Vigus and Grand Avenue is only available until December 31, 2024. 

Specs-wise, the Vigus is JMC’s premier offering when it comes to work trucks, while the Grand Avenue was launched as a heavy-duty ride that is also capable of providing ride comfort. 

Under the hood of the Vigus is a 2.5-liter turbodiesel JX4D25 inline-4 engine capable of producing up to 129 horsepower (hp) and 315 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. The said engine is paired with a five-speed Getrag manual gearbox. 

The Grand Avenue, on the other hand, utilizes a 2.3-liter turbodiesel mill in two different states of tune. For the ones with a five-speed manual transmission, the said engine can put out 174 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The versions with the ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, on the other hand, can generate slightly more torque at 450 Nm. 

For ride quality, the Vigus depends on a torsion bar front suspension and a leaf spring rear suspension. The Grand Avenue, meanwhile, uses a front double-wishbone and rear leaf spring suspension. Both the Vigus and the Grand Avenue may come with a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. 

Unique to Grand Avenue are several convenience and comfort-oriented amenities listed here: 

• 10-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto
• Power adjustable driver’s seat
• Rear air-conditioning vents
• Cruise control
• Leather seats
• Vehicle finding system

Additionally, the Grand Avenue comes with notable safety systems, such as a second collision braking system, post-collision brake, rollover mitigation, hill-launch and descent control, collision auto-unlock, and automatic door return - among others.
