Through a tough competition that comprises a theoretical skills test, a practical test, and an on-vehicle scenario-based test, this nationwide competition, which was open to Kia's 42 dealerships and their respective manpower, tested the abilities of Kia's service staff. The winners of each category — Technician, Service Advisor, Service Manager, and Parts Personnel — moved on to the championship round this month after competing in preliminary rounds throughout the year.

In the Parts Recognition Program, Abner Canlas of Kia Pampanga won Gold, Denee De Leon of Kia Alabang won Silver, and Andre Paulo Adante of Kia Fairview won Bronze.
The event, which stirred up the competitive spirit among Kia employees, motivated each technician to give their best, which helped improve the ownership experience for Kia customers.
“Our technical team is worthy of recognition because of their hard work and skills. This event is representative of the quality of work that happens behind the scenes whenever customers bring their vehicles in for work and service. We are indeed proud of the winners and are in awe of the technical proficiency they have showcased throughout this challenging competition,” Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada.
“This skills competition is very much like the Olympics,” Kia Philippines Aftersales Director Rommel Ramos said. “Our ultimate goal is to provide the best ownership experience to our customers, and we will do this by boosting our dealer’s confidence by giving them a stage to showcase their technical proficiency and expertise. With KNSC, it will be made known to all that our mastery is second to none.”
This was reaffirmed by Kia Motors Corporation Asia Pacific (KAPAC) this year, who honored Kia Philippines for the greatest improvement in their Customer Satisfaction survey results conducted by KAPAC in the Asia Pacific Region for Aftersales Service.
In 2021, Kia Philippines also won the Global Technical Hotline (THL) Award (Champion). Kia Philippines aftersales group bested all distributors and national sales groups of Kia worldwide. The THL is an online link that connects Kia Philippines with the local dealers, offering support for inquiries and other related services. The key metric for this award is how quickly and effectively Kia Philippines responds to support requests from dealers. The system is connected to Kia Motors Corporation for tracking.
The winners of KNSC 2022 will get the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the Kia World Cup Competition in 2023.
