Kia PH set to showcase latest vehicles, digital art display at PIMS 2022

MANILA: Meaningful technology, engineering, and innovations that will inspire customers to embrace the future will proudly be showcased by Kia Philippines at its display at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) from September 15 to 18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Kia Philippines has an eye toward the future and is confident that the country is ready to embrace the latest in vehicle technology and sustainable innovation. “We are poised to let our show-goers witness our cutting-edge lineup,” said Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada.

“We also want to open a window to the future and share with the Filipino public our vision of what to expect from Kia in the coming years. We will do this by offering an immersion into the charging ecosystem of our Kia EV6 electric vehicle, to demonstrate that it is packed with surprises and is more than just a car.

And true to our ‘Movement that Inspires’ tagline, our visitors will get to experience our interactive digital art display that unifies our futuristic and relevant Kia showcase.”

A digital art piece called the Kia Interactive Motion Wall is activated by moving objects. Digital animation masterworks that provoke inspiration through their sense of motion will be created by distilling artistic interpretations of land, water, and air into their essence.

To activate the interactive exhibit and be inspired by this incredibly imaginative digital art form, visitors are invited to enter the Kia area.

With the Interactive Motion Wall setting the expressive mood and imaginative atmosphere, taking center stage is the Kia EV6. It is an award-winning electric vehicle that was launched globally in 2021. For the first time, Filipinos can experience what makes this marvel of automotive technology so special.

The EV6 is the first Kia car to utilize the company's new battery-electric vehicle architecture (BEVs).

The Kia EV6 was designed with 800V and 400V charging capabilities, which let it to charge its battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. A total of 510 kilometers may be covered by the EV6 2WD 77.4KWh on a single full charge. The EV6 AWD version can go from 0 to 100 kph in 5.2 seconds and produces a maximum torque of 605Nm. A 168kW electric motor is coupled to the 77.4kWh battery pack, while the AWD models have two electric motors that provide a combined 239kW.

To be displayed alongside the Kia EV6 are the 2022 Kia Sorento midsize SUV that is known for its comfort, elegance, safety, and the power to turn inspiration into reality; the 2022 Kia Carnival grand utility vehicle that has next-level amenities and SUV-like performance that inspires and redefines what a luxury drive should be all about.

The 2022 Kia Soluto subcompact sedan will also be showcased at PIMS 2022 with its smart and useful details that capture the heart of the modern-day driver. Lastly, the PIMS 2022 will also see the Kia Stonic Style Edition subcompact SUV, which is a complete style and performance package. A genuine crowd pleaser, the Stonic is also Kia’s best-selling model in the Philippines.

As an added bonus for Kia customers who will be attending the PIMS 2022, partner Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) will provide hassle-free assistance and a special promotion wherein customers can save up to P171,000 worth of waived chattel mortgage fees and insurance premiums for the first year of the loan.
