In the guise of the Kia EV4 Long Range sedan, it can cover up to 630 kilometers with a single full charge. The said models were debuted by the South Korean car maker at this year’s Kia electric vehicle (EV) Day in Spain. Per the marque, the three new rides embody its expanded global strategy for EV models and are part of its plan to bolster its position in the global EV market.
“Kia remains committed to becoming the world’s leading EV brand and sustainability mobility solutions provider by enhancing the options and experiences we offer our customers,” Kia President and Chief Executive Officer Ho Sung Song said.
“With models like the Kia EV4 and the vision shown in the Kia Concept EV2, we strive to democratize EV ownership, making the benefits of sustainable mobility solutions open to everyone,” Song added.
Kia EV4
The Kia EV4 is the car maker’s first-ever all-electric sedan and hatchback offering for the global market. It utilizes a 400-volt version of the E-GMP platform, making it the less powerful sibling of the Kia EV6.

In its most potent form as the Long Range trim, Kia says that the all-new model’s single front-mounted motor can generate up to 201 horsepower (hp). With the said output, the EV4 Long Range variants can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers in just 7.4 seconds.
For range, the EV4 Long Range sedan can cover up to 630 kilometers (km), according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). It also boasts a 10-80 percent direct current (DC) fast charging time of just 31 minutes.

Other notable features of the EV4 include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advanced driver-assist systems
- Voice recognition command
- Wireless smartphone charger
- Rear-hinged back doors
- Vehicle-to-load feature
- Over-the-air updates
- 490 liters of luggage space (sedan)
Kia PV5
Unveiled alongside its first all-electric sedan/hatchback nameplate is the PV5 - the very first production vehicle based on the “Platform Beyond Vehicle” concept, which was previously unveiled at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

In the European market, the model is set to be offered as the PV5 Passenger, Cargo, Crew, and Chassis-cab variants. The PV5 Passenger version comes with a five or six-seater interior seating arrangement, while the PV5 Cargo boasts a sealed, flat-floored rear cabin optimized for hauling cargo.
The PV5 Crew, meanwhile, offers the best of both worlds, offering up to seating for five while retaining enough space for tools and supplies.
Other noteworthy features of the PV5 nameplate include the following:
- ADAS
- Vehicle-to-load functionality
- Over-the-air updates
- Towing device
- Roof rails
- LED exterior lighting
When it comes to making power, the PV5 can generate up to 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Its largest 71.2-kilowatt-hour battery option can also return a maximum range of 400 km as per the WLTP.
Kia Concept EV2
The third vehicle unveiled at Kia EV Day 2025 is the Concept EV2. As hinted at by its name, it is not yet a production vehicle, but it showcases the brand’s intent to complete its all-electric lineup fully.

To be exact, the Concept EV2 was conceived to fill in the subcompact crossover-shaped hole positioned below the EV6. Interestingly, it also looks like a shrunken version of the EV9, with the same boxy design beats.
For now, no specifications have been provided by the marque for the concept vehicle, but its production version will eventually spearhead Kia’s efforts to make EV nameplates more accessible to more buyers.
Kia EV4, PV5 availability
While already revealed, Kia has yet to disclose pricing vehicles for the EV4 and PV5. Based on Kia’s global websites, however, it appears that European countries will be getting first dibs on the EV4 and PV5.
Kia Motor Philippines, in turn, has yet to indicate if it has plans to introduce the said models to the local market. However, with the local availability of the EV6 and EV9, the entry of a Philippine-spec EV4 might be possible, fingers crossed.
