Know More about new Kia Sportage

MANILA: Just a couple of months back, we all got to see a peek of the all-new fourth-generation Kia Sportage and now let us present some more details of this premium-looking compact SUV from the Korean brand. Said to be quite handsome as compared to its outgoing model, the car has an upscale feel in terms of the driving experience and set of features.

The car is blessed with two engines where the base motor is the current 2.4-litre lump producing 181 hp and 237 Nm. Another is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder mill putting out 241 hp and impressive 352 Nm. Both these machines are paired with a six-speed Sportmatic automatic gearbox that delivers power to either front or all wheels. The enhanced suspension further helps in improving the ride quality in any driving condition. The steering box has been moved forward to provide better feel and good weight distribution.

Keeping this aside, the latest technologies are sported in the cabin. The exterior and interior dimensions are increased due to which the occupant space has become roomier. Premium material is used all over and therefore, an upmarket vibe is thrown once you step inside the new Kia Sportage. Some optional features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and dual-HID headlamps with a dynamic bending feature.

Further, the new Sportage is the first model in the Kia range to feature UVO3, the latest version of its award-wining telematics and infotainment system which is not just simply great but awesome too. Thus, so far the car looks a premium offering but then we would wait for it to come with its price tag.
