Koenigsegg to Try Hands on Normal Cars
MANILA: A Koenigsegg sedan or a SUV; Sounds weird? But, this can be the reality soon as the winds in the auto industry are changing and the Swedish manufacturer, Koenigsegg Automotive AB which is known for making hyper cars, are now considering to make normal cars. The curiosity is building up and there are no details as such but yes, for this brand one thing can be said that winners never stop trying and wings to imagination can be given by dare devils only.
One such brand's owner Christian von Koenigsegg said that even normal cars can be benefited from the technology that is used in their astounding Agera RS, One:1, and Ragera. Further, it is thought that these normal cars would be under a new sub brand rather than a Koenigsegg brand product. Along with it, the company's founder is also thinking to team up with other auto manufacturers for this endeavor.
Until then, the brand is working on their first four-door model which is set to be launched in next five years while the plans of a smaller car to compete with models like Porsche 911 has been canceled. More, the brand owner also said that even though the company has the grasp of hybrid technology, yet he strongly believes that there is a lot of unexploited potential in the combustion engine which, if coordinated with more powerful motors and lighter batteries, can serve as foundation of high-end machines. So, is the future near, where the normal car with wind speaking speeds will run on roads?
