L300 headlines Mitsubishi's 69% growth in May

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has recorded another strong performance for the month of May as it attained 69% in sales growth.

The Mitsubishi L300 was the top-selling model of the month, registering a total of 1,335 units sold which reflects a 87% increase against the previous month.

The Mirage G4 had also significantly contributed to the brand’s impressive sales figures as it secured a 207% spike. Meanwhile, the Strada moved a total of 464 units, 36% higher than last month. The Xpander also had a strong showing as it moved a total of 490 units, 8% higher against the previous month.

In a statement, MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said, “2021 continues to be a challenge for the entire automotive industry and we are very thankful for the strong support that the market is showing towards the Mitsubishi Motors brand. With a total of 3,329 units sold in May, Mitsubishi keeps the second spot in automotive sales ranking.
