MANILA: Lalamove is set to commence a new program designed to bring on board thousands of public utility vehicle (PUV) and public utility jeepney (PUJ) “tsupers” as new partner drivers.

To note, the onboarding roadshow by Lalamove will be organized in partnership with the respective local government units (LGU) from the locations mentioned above. Specifically, the LGUs will provide the venue for the roadshow and promote the initiative to their constituents.
As shared by the Hong Kong-based company’s local arm, the roadshow will also offer car loan options for those lacking a vehicle. Other interested individuals, meanwhile, can likewise become partner drivers by being matched by the company with existing Lalamove-verified fleet operators who are in need of drivers.
Furthermore, attendees of the Tsuper Onboarding Roadshow will be provided a 50 percent discount on the cash deposit fee upon signing up. The first 50 onboarded partner drivers from each roadshow event, on the other hand, will be given several freebies such as Lalamove-branded vests, lanyards, and raincoats, among others.
“Our Tuloy Biyahe program goes beyond just helping drivers find work. It’s about helping them become more financially independent. We want to see them succeed as entrepreneurs and build a brighter future for their families,” Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines Djon Nacario said.
