It is designed to be a reliable vehicle that can handle even the most difficult terrain. Along with the base vehicle's rugged looks, outstanding off-road capabilities, and comfortable design, the vehicle also features unique customizations exclusive to a four-wheel-drive and aftermarket parts manufacturer.
Among the vehicle's off-road features are the large mudguards that protect the body from debris when off-roading, aluminum skid plates that cover vulnerable underbody areas, fender garnishes that protect the wide fenders, and tube-style side steps that protect the side sills while facilitating easy entry and exit.
The addition of a roof rack to increase cargo capacity, along with the installation of a lift kit and lightweight but highly rigid 18-inch wheels, has improved the GX 550 in every aspect, from its authentic off-road look to its dynamic performance.
“Through collaboration vehicles such as the GX 550 ‘Overtrail’ JAOS version, our goal is to continue showcasing the pleasure of vehicle customization, with the aim of offering our customers increasingly enriching car life experiences,” Lexus stated in a press release.
The GX 550 “Overtrail” JAOS version was displayed at the event alongside the LX 600 “Offroad” Team JAOS 2023 version.
