Maserati Grecale prototypes endure rigorous testing on snow and ice

MANILA: The Maserati Grecale prototypes are still undergo testing, this time in the cold Swedish glades, where they have proven to produce maximum power in extreme temperatures and on very low-grip surfaces.

The Grecale’s energy appears unbothered by snow and ice. The prototypes were tested to fine-tune their start-up and drivability in harsh conditions — to assess vehicle dynamics on mixed surfaces of tarmac, snow, and ice, and to sustain in-car comfort in any weather condition, which in Lapland, ranged from a few degrees above zero to as low as -30 degrees Celsius.

Tests were also conducted to fine-tune the vehicle’s traction, understeer, and oversteer in various drive modes and wheel sizes to evaluate each of the driving modes available.

On low-grip-handling tracks, the Grecale boasts its exceptional spirit, completing high-performance laps on various circuits, from steering pads to more rigorous routes involving corners, slopes, long straights, and drops, on snowy or icy surfaces.

The Maserati Grecale truly delivers an exceptional performance, even in sub-zero weather and across vast swaths of snow.
