Maserati Levante to debut at Geneva Motor Show 2016

MANILA: Maserati has confirmed the launch of its Levante at the Geneva Motor Show to be held in March, 2016. It’s been four long years since Maserati launched its Kubang concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor show. Harold Wester, Maserati CEO, confirmed that the production will start in February 2016 and the debut scheduled at the Geneva motor show in March.

The new Levante will be based on the Quattroporte platform with new added features across the variants. The company claims that it will be completely different and better from the concept.

According to the CEO, the company has targeted to sell 50,000 cars by the end of 2015. By launching the new Ghibli and Quattroporte, the company has been able to increase the sales by 600 per cent in the last two years.

Wester targets to sell around 75,000 cars in a single year. After the release of Levante, the company will be focused towards the production of F-Type Alfieri concept followed by Alfieri cabrio at the end of 2016.

Under the hood lies a broad turbo engine offering peak power of 350 bhp and 425 bhp V6s consequently. The V8 is expected to churn out 560bhp of peak power.
