Maxus launches the G10 Assist, a van especially for PWDs
MANILA: Soon after making its entry to the Philippine automobile market, Maxus has introduced the G10 Assist. While the van is pretty similar to the standard G10 with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, front and rear park sensors, reverse parking camera, 220 V outlet, and projector halogen headlamps, the G10 Assist, as the name suggests, gets a few additional features that make it a PWD dedicated vehicle.
There are the likes of the captain seat in middle row near the door for easy ingress and egress. The most helpful feature for PWDs is the Programmable Swivel Lifting Seat with a Foldable Footrest that is operated via either a remote or smartphone application. The programmable seat is nothing but a blessing for people who need assistance while getting inside and outside of a vehicle.
Powering the Maxus G10 Assist is the same 1.9-litre turbocharged CRDi engine that serves the van 148 hp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm from 1,800 to 2,600 revs. The ample power is then delivered to the wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Maxus has priced the G10 assist at Php 2,079,800. It is an increment of Php 399,800 over the standard G10's price of Php 1.68 million.
