McLaren offers exclusive 60th Anniversary package for GT, Artura, 750S

As part of its 60th-year celebration, McLaren is offering an exclusive package to customers of the GT, Artura and the all-new 750S supercar.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What McLaren models can be had with the 60th-anniversary package?

The McLaren models that can be had with the 60th Anniversary package are the GT, Artura, and 750S.
  • For how long will McLaren offer the 60th-anniversary package?

The exclusive package will be offered for a year starting this month.
  • The 60th Anniversary-themed options for the newly-ordered series-production models includes new exterior and interior visual content that pays tribute to McLaren’s unofficial “Triple Crown” achievement.

According to the European supercar manufacturer, the completion of the Triple Crown (consisting of wins in motorsport’s three most prestigious races) serves as a milestone in the brand’s 60-year history. The achievement came 21 years after McLaren recorded its maiden victory at the Indianapolis 500, in 1974, followed by the triumph at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1984 then at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.

Below are the three body color options available across the series-production road car line-up:

    • Indy Orange: reproduces and modernizes the bright orange shade of the 1974 Indy 500-winning M16D
    • Monaco White: takes its inspiration from the white hue of the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix victor MP4/2.
    • Le Mans Grey: a tribute to the F1 GTR that won the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.

To match the paints, McLaren also placed Triple Crown Stripes on the 750S that run up the center of the bonnet and are repeated on the rear wing. The said version will only have 60 examples.

Aside from that, it will sport a McLaren Triple Crown logo at the front and an artwork that displays the years of victories — ‘74, ‘84 and ’95.

Additionally, the 60th-Anniversary design on the McLaren 750S will also feature a contrasting rear wing underside that furthers the Triple Crown branding.

Other exterior developments involve two new 60th Anniversary brake caliper colors (available on the 750S, GT, and Artura) namely:

    • Indy Blue paint color: inspired by the Indianapolis 500-victory, color matched to the blue of the “3” race number worn by the winning M16D
    • Le Mans Gold: replicates the color of the brake calipers fitted to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR

The McLaren models purchased with gloss carbon fiber door mirrors, the company noted, are fitted with a 60th Anniversary “Speedy Kiwi” logo on the mirror casings in Orange or Silver. The said symbol is similar to the one on a new dedication plaque exclusively designed for cars equipped with 60th Anniversary options.

Inside, the 60th Anniversary package features a painted steering wheel center line marker finished in Indy Orange, which is available on cars with a carbon fiber steering wheel. The steering wheel marker can be had with complementing new extended carbon fiber painted gearshift paddles that is also outfitted with stripes in McLaren Triple Crown colors.

All cars ordered with any 60th Anniversary options will be fitted with a new, brushed aluminum bespoke dedication plaque, featuring a 60th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. The logo incorporates a “60” within the famous McLaren “Speedy Kiwi” — the badge worn by Bruce McLaren’s racing cars. Any 750S ordered with the Triple Crown Stripes will feature a “1 of 60” marking on the dedication plaque, highlighting the rarity of the specification.
