Meet the world’s fastest production car - Tesla Roadster
MANILA: Tesla never fails to surprise the world with its latest innovations and once again, the American automaker has stunned the auto world with its latest creation. In an event which was held to reveal the company’s first prototypes of Semi truck, Tesla surprised the audience with its new sports car, 2020 Tesla Roadster, which is tagged as the world’s fastest production car with an all-electric powertrain.
The new Tesla Roadster has raised the performance standards to the next level, giving Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche some serious challenge. Inspired by other marvelous sports cars, the Tesla Roadster is appealing and stylish. The front features a snooping nose sharp LED headlights with whisker-like body extensions and no front grille. The sloping roofline, minimalistic boot lid mounted spoiler, and a pair of LED tail lights accentuate overall design theme perfectly.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 200 kW battery and propelled by a system consisting of 2 motors at the back and 1 at the front. The 2020 Roadster is capable of producing 10,000 Nm of torque which is more than 6 times of what Bugatti Chiron develops (1600 Nm). With such an immense figure, you can clock 0-96 kmph mark in just 1.9 seconds and a top speed of 402 kmph. These figures are really unbelievable, making the 2020 Roadster fastest production car in the world. It not just ends here, the sports car also possess a range of 998 kilometers, which is again maximum for an electric car.
At the moment, Tesla has started taking bookings of the 2020 Roadster with a booking amount of $50,000, which is all set to make its market debut by 2022. There is also a Founders Series in the pipeline which will be produced in limited numbers and will be delivered on priority with even better performance figures. The details of the special series are still not revealed and it will be priced at $250,000 that can be booked by giving the whole amount in advance.
