Mercedes-Benz PH brings in new AMG SUV

MANILA: Mercedes-Benz Philippines recently launched the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic in the Philippine market. The sports utility vehicle is the latest addition to the Mercedes-AMG lineup.

The GLB 35 is motivated by a 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine matched to an AMG speedshift eight-speed transmission, which delivers a maximum power output of 306hp. The vehicle’s drive mode can be modified based on the road condition and driving style. The AMG dynamic select features five modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual.

The SUV uses an all-wheel drive system to help it adapt to any road condition. The vehicle’s 4Matic system is activated when driving in rugged terrain and steep slopes as it manages the amount of power that is produced by the wheels that are touching the ground.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLB 35 carries intelligent features which are developed to provide confidence in every drive. The Keyless Go system provides easier access to the vehicle, while the Attention Assist feature monitors the driver’s steering behavior and gives a warning if it detects sleepiness or drowsiness. The SUV is also installed with a parking package that includes an active parking assist reversing camera, which displays the surroundings behind the vehicle and verbally alerts the driver if it detects any obstruction.

The GLB 35 is designed with AMG-exclusive exterior accents which include the radiator trim, 19-inch five-twin-spoke light alloy wheels, black AMG lettering at the front, AMG rear apron, and Turbo 4MATIC lettering on the front wings.

The SUV’s interior features a sporty look, which is accentuated by the three-spoke sports steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather and the sports seats upholstered in black Artico Dinamica microfiber. The steering wheel is equipped with touch control buttons at the bottom to let the driver enjoy a smooth and convenient driving experience.

The cockpit is highlighted by the AMG digital instrument cluster which displays exciting AMG graphics. Installed on the center console is an AMG-specific hand comforter and the manual transmission mode control buttons.

The GLB 35  also features the cutting-edge MBUX infotainment system that can be managed through a 10.25-inch display with voice control feature. The system can be connected to smartphones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GLB 35 also offers a premium music streaming experience with its Burmester surround system. The cabin is also equipped with various compartments, USB power outlets, and a lights system with 64 colors.

The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is available at the Mercedes-Benz dealerships in EDSA Greenhills and Bonifacio Global City. Pricing starts at P5.69 million.
