MIAS 2019: Kia Stinger GT launched with a price tag of Php 3.3 million
MANILA: At the ongoing MIAS Wired 2020, Kia Philippines is attracting the crowd like a magnet. All thanks to its latest sports sedan, the Stinger. For the Philippines market, the South Korean brand has brought the sleek, yet powerful GT variant.
The Kia Stinger as can be seen in the images carries a muscular design theme. The car, in a nutshell, combines GT comfort with Stinger’s daring looks. It is Kia’s most powerful offering in the market that carries a whopping price tag of Php 3.3 million but brings a plethora of standard features.
The Stinger GT takes design inspiration from the GT4 and GT concepts. At the front, the sedan displays a long hood, brand’s signature tiger-nose grille along with striking LED headlights. The rear end gets eye-catching taillights and dual-twin exhaust units. The car stands on massive 19-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin, like the exterior, is equally impressive and is loaded with some best-in-class features. Included in the standard feature list are leather upholstery, power-adjust seats with memory function, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, engine start/stop button, dual-zone automatic climate control, multi-functional leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control, and Harman/Kardon 9-speaker sound system, to name a few.
Adding convenience factor at the driver’s arena is the high-tech multi-info display with readings like lap time, G-forces, navigation, engine oil temperature, turbo boost, and trip computer.
Powering the all-new Stinger GT is a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 mill churning out a maximum power of 370 PS at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque of 510 Nm at 1300 to 4500 rpm. Sending power to the wheels is an 8-speed automatic gearbox. On the performance front, the Kia Stinger can cover the 0 to 100 kmph run in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 270 kmph.
On the safety front, we have - 7-airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, blind spot monitoring, hill-start assist, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, tire-pressure monitoring, and stability and traction control.
As for now, Kia Philippines has only launched the Kia Stinger in one variant option - the 2019 Kia Stinger 3.3L V6 Twin Turbo 8-AT, priced at Php 3,325,000.
