MIAS 2024: UAAGI showcases BAIC lineup
BAIC's ace is an SUV powered by a 2.0-liter diesel hybrid mill
MANILA: United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) has formally relaunched BAIC brand — the newest marque under its umbrella — at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024.

“With BAIC, we satisfy the needs of Filipinos who relish exploration, venturing into the great outdoors, and forging new trails,” UAAGI Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin said.
“Today, we proudly declare that BAIC Philippines sets the standard for ruggedness, robustness, modernity, and style in SUVs, catering perfectly to the adventurous spirit of the Filipino,” he added.
BAIC B40 Ragnar
The BAIC B40 Ragnar is one of the brand’s SUV offerings. It boasts adventure-ready exterior appointments such as removable roof panels and a built-in camera mounted on the digital rear view mirror.
Power comes from an Aucan 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission coupled with a BorgWarner four-wheel drive system.
The BAIC B40 Ragnar has a price tag of P2.368 million.
BAIC B80 Wagon
On the other hand, the BAIC B80 Wagon dons familiar European styling that exudes style and capability.
True enough, the BAIC B80 Wagon offers luxurious appointments to its would-be owners in the form of Nappa leather upholstery and a powerful sound system with a built-in subwoofer.
It also has a 39-degree approach angle, 25-degree ramp angle, and 33-degree departure angle, allowing it to brave almost any terrain thrown at it. The BAIC B80 Wagon is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo gasoline powerplant mounted to a ZF transmission and electronic four-wheel drive system.
The striking B80 Wagon retails for P4.398 million.
BAIC B60 Beaumont
The BAIC B60 Beaumont is a seven-seater SUV that promises the brand’s future owners all the latest technologies BAIC has to offer.
According to UAAGI, the BAIC B60 Beaumont is the first SUV in the market to have a 2.0-liter diesel hybrid powertrain mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The said setup is complemented by nine drive modes and a dull array of advanced driver assist system (ADAS) technologies to ensure optimal performance on all kinds of terrain.
The cabin of the BAIC B60 Beaumont comes with upmarket features like a four-screen infotainment integration, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.8-inch infotainment screen, smartphone mirroring, wireless charging, digital rearview mirror with integrated recording camera, WiFi hotspot, 220-volt power supply, 540-degree panoramic and undercarriage camera, all topped off with a panoramic electric sunroof.
The B60 Beaumont is offered at a retail price of P3.188 million.
BAIC X55 Verve
BAIC’s crossover offerings are also worth taking a look at. The X55 Verve, for example, is powered by an award-winning engine that produces 188 horsepower with 605 Newton-meters of torque.
In addition, it gets a handful of ADAS technologies, which include traffic jam assist and automatic parking assist. An automatic hands-free power tailgate will also help Filipino car buyers who will choose to add the BAIC X55 Verve to their growing families.
The BAIC X55 Verve has a sticker price of P1.348 million.
BAIC X7 Grandeza
Finally, the BAIC X7 Grandeza is a vehicle that builds on the merit of the aforementioned X55 Verve.
On that note, it uses the same award-winning powertrain but adds a slew of luxurious appointments in an even larger and more spacious cabin.
Notable features of the BAIC X7 Grandeza include heated and ventilated ottoman seats with a massage function and a full host of ADAS and infotainment technologies one would expect from a luxury crossover.
The BAIC X7 Grandeza retails for P1.648 million.
BAIC at MIAS 2024
UAAGI explained that MIAS 2024 visitors who will inquire at the BAIC booth can enjoy exclusive packages and freebies when they reserve or purchase a unit at the event.
Each BAIC model comes with a comprehensive warranty lasting five years or 150,000 kilometers (whichever comes first), providing reliable coverage and support throughout the customers' ownership experience.
BAIC’s booth will be open to those interested to look at its offerings until Sunday, April 7.
