Mini unveils new Countryman S All4

MANILA: Mini has launched the new Countryman S All4, which combines the versatility of a crossover with an intelligent all-wheel drive.

The All4 all-wheel drive system delivers improved traction, safety, driving stability, and agility.

To provide the signature Mini go-kart feeling, the Countryman S All4 comes with a single-joint Macpherson strut front axle and a multi-link rear axle. Customers may also opt for an adaptive chassis with 15-millimeter lowering and frequency-selective dampers.

The Countryman S All4 is powered by a two-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid motor. The engine churns out 218 horsepower and 360 Newton-meters of torque.

Despite having a new design, the Countryman S All4 can still be easily recognizable as a Mini. It features a clean look with a new octagonal front grille and Mini LED headlamps.

“With its powerful four-cylinder petrol engine and sporty design, the new Mini Countryman S All4 sets new standards in its segment,” Mini Brand Head Stefanie Wurst stated.

Inside, the new Countryman is designed with a two-tone textile dashboard to create a homey vibe. It is also equipped with a round OLED display with the new Mini Operating System 9.

The look and vibe of the cockpit can also be modified through the Mini Experience Modes, with each mode having its own design and ambient lighting.

Other notable interior features are the comfort seats and the panoramic sunroof. The rear seat can also be folded down to accommodate cargo of up to 1,450 liters.

The Countryman S All4 also ensures safe and convenient driving with its advanced assistance features and Level 2 driving capability. The semi-automated driving allows the driver to take their hand off the steering wheel at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, however, they must still keep an eye on the traffic and be ready to intervene at any time.
