Geely is branding the 2025 Zeekr 009 as a luxury MPV. The vehicle makes a strong impression with a sophisticated yet bold design. It sports a large and square front grille, behind which there’s a 154 dot-matrix lighting system that Zeekr calls ‘The Spring of Light’. The car gets all-around LED lighting with square and distinct daytime running lights (DRLs), in a departure from light bars that most EVs get. The front-end is big and square. The styling is unapologetic. The 2025 Zeekr 009 looks brutal, particularly in the all-black colour. 

From the side, the MPV looks square, long, and functional. The darkened pillars lend the roof a floating illusion. There’s a choice of chrome accents down the sides. It includes the door handles that are normal, unlike the recessed ones that many EVs get these days. A chrome belt halves the back of the MPV. The windscreen at the back is huge and offers great visibility. The rear-end seems inspired by the Zeekr 001 and is rather plain compared to the front. The 2025 Zeekr 009 runs on 19-inch aero-style wheels. 

The 2025 Zeekr 009 gets an opulent cabin. It boasts of premium upholstery that includes abundant Nappa leather, micro-suede, and metal touch points. Some design cues are again borrowed from the Zeekr 001, like the steering wheel and drive-mode selector. The ambient lighting provides a soft under-glow. The power-sliding doors get touch panels to quickly access climate control functions. There’s a panoramic sunroof, an 8.6-litre refrigerator, a ceiling-mounted 17-inch OLED display, and a second-row camera to make video calls. The dashboard gets a high-res 15.05-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, connected to a 30-speaker Yamaha sound system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel.

With 5,209mm length, 2,024mm width, and 1,848mm height, the 2025 Zeekr 009 is a spacious luxury MPV. All seats are comfortable and have several options for ventilation, heating, massage, and adjustment. Both models get executive seats for the second row. But they differ in features. The Ultra Luxury model gets more ‘tauke-friendly’ seats. They are wider and get foldable, built-in tray tables. Each seat gets a dedicated control panel.

Even in the 2025 Zeekr 009 Ultra Luxury version, the three rows are incredibly thought out. The third row gets ample legroom. Headroom too is plenty, courtesy the MPV’s boxy design. The 2025 Zeekr 009 gets 337 litres of boot space with all seats up. With the third row down, the boot space increases to a cavernous 2,979 litres. Unlike the Ultra Luxury trim, the seats of the Luxury model aren’t wide. This allows for a pass-through aisle. 

The entire cabin of the MPV is roomy with ample space to travel comfortably on long trips.

The 2025 Zeekr 009 Ultra Luxury is equipped with two electric motors that produce a combined 612 PS/693 Nm. The motors are powered by a 116 Kwh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery. The powertrain is built on a 400V electrical architecture. With both motors at work, the 2025 Zeekr 009 seems overpowered. The MPV comes with a Sports drive mode but there’s nothing sporty to it. MPVs aren’t expected to offer sporty driving dynamics and the Zeekr 009 is no different. The ride quality is very comfortable, courtesy of the dual-chamber air suspension. Big and burly MPVs aren’t meant for high-speed cornering. But the 2025 Zeekr 009’s suspension system does a commendable job of containing body roll.
