Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2016 Launch in the Philippines- Know Variants, Price, and other Specification
MANILA: Yes, you read it right. Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2016 has landed on the 7000+ island country officially. Though, the new Mitsubishi SUV has been around since last November, when it was first seen virtually on newmonterosport.ph, a dedicated site for new Mitsubishi SUV. After that the car was in news for all the right and wrong (Sudden Unintended Acceleration issue) reasons, never letting the spotlight fading away.
Well, the new Montero Sport launch was due for 20th January 2016 and was rightly done on time. Those of you who wish to see the car in person can visit Mitsubishi Family Expo that will run from 21 to 24 January 2016 at Hall B and C of World Trade Center, Pasay City. Dubbed as 'We Love Mitsubishi Family Expo' this motor show will open for public from 10 AM to 8 PM and will be a free entry event. This event will a perfect destination for those who intend to buy Montero Sport 2016 or any other Mitsubishi car, as one gets to test drive the vehicles and also gets a chance to avail exclusive offers and freebies.
Talking specifically about new Mitsubishi SUV, we recently informed you about the PhP 60,000 pre-order saving that has around from 9th November 2015 and will last till 24th January 2016 only. So, hurry up take a test drive and if you like it don't think twice, before reserving one.
The SUV is available in four trims – GT 4WD 8 Speed AT (Php 1,988,000), GLS 4WD 6 Speed MT (PhP 1,785,000), GLS 2WD Premium 8 Speed AT (PhP 1,685,000) and GLS 2WD 8 Speed AT (PhP 1,500,000), all of which run on the new 2.4L 4N15 diesel engine. The all-new Montero engine is equipped with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control technology and displays low fuel consumption and CO2 emission. As for the power and torque figures, the 4N15 engine generates 181 PS at 3500 rpm and 430 Nm at 2,500 rpm respectively.
The car is available in seven body colours- Sedona Red, Mystic Blue, Virgil Gray, Savanna White, Pyrenees Black, Sterling Silver Metallic, and Deep Bronze Metallic, all of which blend perfectly with MMC'S new Dynamic Shield design concept. Two new features added by Mitsubishi are LED-Type with Daytime Running Lights (not found in GLS model) and sunroof. All the trims stand on 265/60 R18 tires, while the two-tone 18” x 7.5JJ alloy wheels give an aggressive stance to GT variant.
The interior front now gets upgraded sound insulation and climate control system, all employed to increase occupants’ comfort level by manifold. On the entertainment side, Montero offers a Capacitive Discharge Touchscreen Monitor that is paired with GPS navigation system.
The all-new Montero was recently given a 5-star safety rating from Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and Latin NCAP, proving Mitsubishi's stiff attention of the said field. Other safety features included are seven airbags, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control.
The 2016 Montero will be produced at Mitsubishi Motors Thailand plant that recently fit the 4 million production mark. From there, it will be exported to more than ninety countries around the globe including ASEAN, Latin America regions, Oceania, Asia, East Europe, and Middle East Africa.
