Mitsubishi PH formally launches Xforce
Price starts at P1.367-M
MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially unveiled the Xforce — signaling the distributor’s re-entry in the local compact crossover segment.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
What are the Mitsubishi Xforce's variants?
The Mitsubishi Xforce variants are the GLS CVT (priced at P1.367 million) and GT CVT (P1.581 million). What powers the Mitsubishi Xforce?
The MItsubishi Xforce is powered by a 1.5-liter, four-pot gasoline mill with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system paired with a continuous variable transmission. To note, the company fielded the ASX to the local market but was later discontinued.
Expected to be the distributor’s gamechanger, the Philippine-spec all-new Xforce was initially revealed in the country in the form of the XFC Concept in mid-2023.
The all-new Mitsubishi Xforce is 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm wide; 1,660 mm tall with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.
Based on the Silky and Solid design concept, the vehicle’s exterior features a redesigned Dynamic Shield fascia that goes well with the T-shaped headlamps and uniquely-patterned front grille.
Sporting a nearly-similar design concept with the Mitsubishi Outlander, the all-new Xforce comes with a hexaguard horizon motif rear — differing only in the taillamp pattern (the latter carrying the T-figure illumination seen at the front).
Inside, a very familiar sight welcomes occupants as the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce seems to carry the Horizontal Axis pattern seen in the Xpander. Past the three-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel is an eight-inch colored LCD digital instrument cluster
Beside it is the 12.3-inch infotainment system with the eight speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium setup and Speed Compensated Volume and equalizer functions. The said system has four presets: Lively, Signature, Powerful, and Relaxing.
Other amenities include the underseat tray, rear seats that go 40:20:40 split with eight-step recline and full flat folding, as well as the wireless charging dock (solely available in the crème dela crème version).
But the interior design is not the only feature that the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce and Xpander share.
Under the crossover’s hood is the potent 4A91 1.5-liter, four-pot, double overhead cam gasoline mill with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system paired with a continuous variable transmission. The said powertrain can provide a maximum churn of 103 horsepower and 141 Newton-meters of torque.
Providing versatility to the driver are four drive modes namely Wet (first introduced by Mitsubishi), Road, Gravel, and Mud.
Further, the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce is packed with safety and driver assistive features such as the active stability and traction control, active yaw control, hill start assist, forward collision mitigation system, lead car departure notification, blind spot warning system, automatic high beam, and tire pressure monitoring system.
Available in Quartz White, Graphite Gray, Blade Silver, and Energetic Yellow, the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce can be had in two variants. Below is the list of their respective pricing:
- GLS CVT: P1.367 million
- GT CVT: P1.581 million
