Mitsubishi PH to launch Xforce on Jul. 5

MANILA: After several teasers, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) finally gave a definite date for the launching of the Xforce: July 5.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the Philippine-spec Mitsubishi Xforce's confirmed features?

The soon-to-be-released Philippine-spec Mitsubishi Xforce will have the four drive modes and Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system.
  • When will Mitsubishi Motors Philippines release more details about the vehicle?

The company shall release more bits of information about the vehicle on June 28, 2024.
  • The company made the official announcement recently days after the model was teased on the company’s Youtube channel — noting that the vehicle’s official launch will be held in the said month.

MMPC also confirmed several bits of information about the soon-to-be-launched crossover. Among them are the four drive modes that vehicle shall come with namely Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. According to the Japanese automaker’s local arm, the Wet mode adjusts power delivery, traction, yaw control levels, and steering weight to boost stability and control on wet roads.

Aside from that the five-seater small sport utility vehicle will be offered with the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system made up of eight speakers tuned by Yamaha Sound Meisters to deliver optimal sound quality within the vehicle’s cabin. Additionally, the set-up also features a Speed Compensated Volume and equalizer functions that guarantees a well-balanced sound even when driving on rough roads.

Further, MMPC noted that it has already prepared its inventory for the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce to ensure immediate delivery on its launch date.

Relatedly, MMPC shall release more details on June 28.

Earlier, Zigwheels Philippines received information that the arriving vehicle shall be offered in GLS and GT variants and will be priced at P1.367 million and P1.581 million, respectively.

Similar to what is seen at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) last February, the Philippine-spec Mitsubishi Xforce is expected to measure 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm wide; 1,660 mm tall with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.

It is also expected to be powered with a 4A91 1.5-liter double overhead cam gasoline mill with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system — the same engine that can be found under the Xpander’s hood.
