Mitsubishi Reveals the Strada and ASX Concepts at 2016 Geneva Motor Show
MANILA: It’s been a long time since Mitsubishi is planning to introduce an all-new sporty looking crossover and pickup, targeting the off-road enthusiasts. Only last month, the Japanese automaker unveiled a teaser image, showing some of the curves and cues acquired by these newly designed concept vehicles and a few minor details that signifies them integrated with a sporty DNA. The Japanese automotive manufacturer has finally lighten up the teaser, now showcasing the all-new Mitsubishi Strada and ASX concept clearly. Following the rugged theme, the firm has also acquainted several other attractive features such as custom paint scheme, an array of robust accessories; and all this comes under the term “Geoseek Concept”.
Getting into the details of this newly revealed Mitsubishi “Geoseek Concept”, the first noticeable thing is the pearl grey paint scheme acquainted by both the concepts. The paint scheme is much more complemented by the bright orange colored touch-ups at exterior. Wheel rims, side mirrors, front grille, stepping boards and fog lights are the places where you can see the sprinkle of orange color. The touch of orange is not only limited to the exterior parts but has also made an appearance in the cabin accompanying very well with the black trims.
It seems that orange has become the new hot color of 2016 Geneva Motor Show, as every other automaker is giving an orange touch-up to their new comers in order to make them more upbeat and trendy. Like for example, Subaru that only a few days back revealed its lately executed experiment with orange touch-ups, named as Subaru XV Concept at the ongoing auto show.
The rugged theme given to these Mitsubishi concepts is rightly reflected by entirely blacked-out grille and roof-rack. Both the showcased models are dressed in a muscular livery that signifies them as an on or off-road mean machines. While talking in perspective the production of these vehicles, the manufacturer has remained tight-lipped. However, we are hoping to see these Geoseek concept vehicles turning into reality sometime soon.
The base models of both these showcased concepts are available in the Philippines market, now let’s see when Mitsubishi Philippines will officially launch these groovy prototypes. They might come as limited editions, or the base models may end-up receiving these funky touch-ups. It’s only time that holds all the answers in its lap.
