MMDA suspends number coding on Bonifacio Day, Nov. 30

MANILA: To mark the Bonifacio Day holiday tomorrow, November 30, the number coding scheme will be paused by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). This update addresses both the deployment of morning rush hour beginning at 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and after five o'clock in the evening. to 8 p.m..

“Sa araw na ito, ang mga sasakyang may plakang nagtatapos sa 5 at 6 na sakop ng coding tuwing Miyerkules ay maaaring bumiyahe sa mga pangunahing lansangan ng Metro Manila sa nasabing mga coding hours (On Nov. 30, vehicles whose license plates end in number 5 and 6 that are under Wednesday coding are allowed to travel on major Metro Manila cities on the mentioned hours),” the agency’s announcement read.

“Planuhin ang iyong biyahe, sumunod sa batas trapiko at mag-ingat sa pagmamaneho (Plan your trips, follow road rules, and drive safely),” it advised.

Recently, it can be recalled that representatives from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, 17 Metro Manila local governments, and national organizations in charge of controlling traffic in the city, agreed to cooperate in order to carry out a five-year action plan to reduce congestion in Metro Manila.
