Mober expands EV fleet to 60
MANILA: Mobility service provider Mober has expanded its electrified vehicle fleet with the acquisition of 34 new energy vehicles (NEV).

The logistics industry accounts for 24% of carbon emissions globally.The acquisition of the new units (composed of 30 six-wheeler electric trucks and four three-wheelers) brings Mober's fleet to a total of 60 vehicles – 39 of which are electric trucks, 17 are electric vans, and four three-wheelers.
Mober aims to enter the Southeast Asian green delivery market and targets to accumulate a fleet of 100 electric vans and trucks by the end of 2023 and 500 units within the next two years.
Earlier this year, Mober increased its dedicated fleet for Ikea Philippines, reaffirming its commitment to major brands. Mober is also a partner of multinational FMCG companies like Unilever Philippines and Nestle Philippines. It has also launched a pilot delivery program with the world's largest coffee shop chain.
"Our unwavering dedication to merging efficiency with sustainability is evident in our aggressive push for electric vehicles. With each addition to our fleet, we're not merely growing – we're leading a shift towards a more sustainable Philippine logistics landscape," Mober Chief Executive Officer Dennis Ng stated.
Mober also established a partnership with Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Nespresso earlier this year for its carbon-neutral delivery program. The company ensures a smooth delivery process through its partnership with What3words, allowing customers to provide exact delivery locations with a unique three-word combination to guarantee precision.
The logistics industry has been a main contributor of carbon globally, accounting for 24 percent of emissions. According to the European Environment Agency, logistics could account for around 40 percent of global carbon emissions by 2050.
"We aim to be synonymous with green logistics. When businesses contemplate eco-friendly delivery solutions, Mober should invariably be their first thought," Ng added.
