New Mercedes-Benz E-Class with revised styling, tech now here
MANILA: The heavily revised version of the 10th-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class arrives in the local market with updated styling, as well as new convenience and safety technologies.

The E 200 AMG Line retails for P5.39 million. At launch, the new E-Class is initially available in a sole E 200 AMG-Line variant and retails for P5.39 million, according to local Mercedes-Benz distributor Auto Nation Group (ANG).
During the virtual launch of the new E 200 AMG Line, ANG Senior Manager for Product and Market Planning Benjie Bautista revealed that more E-Class variants will follow.
Customers also have the option to visit ANG's official dealerships to specify an E-Class according to the customers' preferences, the ANG executive added.
Styling updates to the new E-Class include a new hood, which features more domes and bulges compared to the pre-updates car, and a new trunk lid and vertical tail lights, which are said to take inspiration from the new S-Class.
The E200 AMG Line is adorned with a grille with diamond pins in chrome and inserts in high-gloss black. A pair of redesigned headlamps equipped with LED High Performance headlights complete the front end.
As part of the AMG Line body styling, the E200 comes with a set of 19-inch AMG five-twin spoke light alloy wheels painted in Tantalite Gray with a high-sheen finish.
Inside, the new E200 AMG Line features two 12.3-inch digital displays, one of which is equipped with the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. The MBUX can pipe music through the Burmester Surround Sound system.
The E200 AMG Line is also equipped with convenience features such as keyless entry, power closing doors, and wireless phone charging. The cabin can be lit in 64 ambient lighting colors, and rear occupants can be shielded from the sun with the rear window blinds.
For safety, the E 200 AMG Line uses a Pre-Safe System, Attention Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Urban Guard.
The Pre-Safe System tightens the seatbelts before a collision, Attention Assist informs the driver if he or she is tired, and Active Brake Assist applies the brakes when it senses an impending collision. Meanwhile, Urban Guard provides an anti-theft alarm system and tow-away protection.
The E 200 AMG Line's Active Parking Assist comes with advance reversing cameras to provide support to the driver.
Under the E 200 AMG Line's hood resides a two-liter, four-cylinder gas engine, which sends 197hp and 320Nm of torque to the rear wheels. The engine is coupled to a Mercedes-Benz's 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission.
