New Toyota Yaris upgraded with TRD and Modellista kits

MANILA: For customers who want their cars to stand out from the crowd, aftermarket upgrades are a must. To ride this clamor for modified rides, Toyota knows that it is best to give its customers what they want through their aftermarket component. So, if you want to give your Toyota Yaris a meaner look, Toyota’s in-house tuning shops Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and Modellista have body kits available.

True to its racing-theme, the TRD kit gives Yaris a more aggressive look with a very prominent front grille occupying most of the car’s fascia. The Apron has black trim below the headlights and around the fog lights. The black is accented by a narrow red stripe that runs along the apron’s edge. The black motif is extended to the trims that surround the car’s windows.

A small piece of trim incorporates tiny canards in front of the wheels and side skirts with the same black and red strip accent. The car rides on a set of black eight-spoke wheels to complete the signature Gazoo Racing look. Some might find this a tad too much for a hatchback, but then again, there are Toyota fans who graves for this design theme.

If you want a more muted look, the Modellista aero kit will add “a stylish and sexy form” to your Toyota Yaris. The body kits include a front spoiler, side skirt, rear spats, and garnish for the side, mirror, and door handles to create a delicate yet stylish accent. There is also an option to add an 8-spoke aluminum wheel available in 14” and 15”.

The 2020 Toyota Yaris sports the company’s New Global Architecture, specifically the B Platform, and comes in three engine choices: the 1.0L and 1.5L three-cylinder engine and the 1.5L Hybrid.
