Next-Generation 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Launched - Pricing Revealed

MANILA: After much anticipation, and a quick teaser at the last Manila International Auto Show, Ford Philippines has finally launched the Next-Generation 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor. The brand is solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the 4x4 pickup aiming to cater specifically more towards customers with active lifestyles.

Looks Tough

The Next-Gen Raptor showcases what the brand believes to be a bold and aggressive exterior design that establishes a clear connection to the Raptor family. Inspired by its predecessor, the Next-Gen Raptor's exterior exudes a more rugged and athletic appearance compared to the rest of the Ranger line that is easily recognizable from any angle.

The wider track and flared wheel arches of the Next-Gen Raptor, including the distinct front end with its distinctive Ford aesthetic include Matrix headlights with C-clamp daytime running lights and prominent F-O-R-D lettering on the grille.

To enhance its road presence, the Next-Gen Raptor is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels paired with BF Goodrich K02 high-performance all-terrain tires. These tires are specifically designed to provide aggressive traction, ensuring exceptional performance both on and off-road.

Down to Get Dirty

The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor has upgrades above the top-of-the-line Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 model both inside, out as well as underneath. It includes new 2.5-inch FOX shocks that utilize position-sensitive damping technology to enhance the Next-Gen Raptor's off-road capabilities.

Under the hood, the Next-Gen Raptor boasts a highly capable and reliable 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel Engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission mated to an e-Shifter. This combi delivers a 210 PS max power rating as well as 500 Nm torque.

The Next-Gen Raptor also has a Trail Control System, 7 driving modes, including Baja mode, and a Full-Time 4-wheel Drive System that can be switched to rear-wheel drive as desired. It also includes a rear locking differential, underbody protection, and impressive approach and departure angles.

A Smart Stud

The Next-Gen Raptor sets new standards for driver-assist technology in a performance pickup truck. It includes features like Active Park Assist 2.0, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Centering, Pre-Collision Assist with Forward Collision Warning, Evasive Steer Assist, Reverse Brake Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Auto High Beam, Post Impact Braking, Blind Spot Information System as well as compatibility with Ford’s FordPass system.

The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor also includes a 12-inch portrait touchscreen center display connected to Ford's advanced SYNC4A communication and entertainment system. system supports Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capabilities, ensuring proper smartphone integration.
