Nissan GTR and GTR Nismo Confirmed for Philippine Market
MANILA: Thinking to bring some modernity in the existing line up, the Nissan PH-President, Mr. Antonia Zara recently revealed his plans of bringing the GT-R and GT-R Nismo to Philippine markets by mid of 2016, which means, in the new year the Philippine roads are going to be more exciting with Nissan's mighty performance cars. Rather it is also heard that Nissan is evaluating a list of three candidates to select one which could be appointed as exclusive GT-R seller.
The Nissan GT-R runs with the help of a 3.8L twin turbo V6 engine where power is supplied to four wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. Said as a blend of “technology and soul”, the Nissan GT-R produces 545 hp of power and 612 Nm of torque. The top of the variant, GT-R Nismo, delivers 600 hp and 652 Nm. With this as a machine under the bonnet, the average acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.2 seconds for both the cars.
Launched way back in 2007, the GT-R is now coming to the Philippines where it is meant to allure all the performance enthusiasts and high-life seeking customers. When asked about GT-R showroom, it was hinted that the GT-R showroom will be annexed to Nissan Gallery Ortigas (Libis) or Nissan gallery Quezon Avenue. More, for the price, Zara said that the Philippine currency’s value during the launch against USD will decide the same.
