Nissan PH Puregold Price Club team up for 'greener' store ops

MANILA: Nissan Philippines and Puregold Price Club Incorporated forged a collaboration that would further push the latter’s sustainability thrust.

In a statement, the grocery chain acquired a total of seven Nissan Kicks e-Power vehicles — establishing a major transition in its fleet assigned for store operations.

“Our efforts to be more sustainable are central to a better future for younger generations and our long-term success as a company. We are committed to integrating sustainability across our operations and motivating our customers to join us in these efforts,” Puregold Price Club President Ferdinand Vincent Co was quoted as saying.

Nissan Kicks e-Power uses electric motors connected to a battery powered by a gasoline engine.

"The Nissan Kicks e-Power aligns perfectly with Puregold's commitment to sustainable practices. Its exceptional fuel efficiency and innovative electric motor technology will contribute significantly to Puregold's environmental goals and operational cost savings,"  Nissan Philippines President Yasuhisa Masuda was quoted as saying.

Last July 1, Nissan Philippines conducted a significant price reduction for the Kicks e-Power.
