Novitec gives the McLaren 720S Spider a boost of looks & power
MANILA: The McLaren 720S Spider is one stunning looking supercar, isn't it? Moreover, the British supercar houses a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine that generates a massive 710 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 770 Nm. Anyway, in case the standard McLaren 720S Super doesn't pack in enough juice and beauty to quench your thirst, you might want to check out the propped up model by Novitec, a German custom shop.
Limited to 15 units, the N-Largo edition of the McLaren 720S not only flaunts new carbon fibre widebody kit but also gets a performance upgrade. As for the changes on the outside, the droptop supercar's structure is now 6 cm wider at the front and 13 cm wider at the rear. Also, there are new front fenders, rear side components, larger wheel arches, brand-new front bumper, front blade, redesigned trunk lid, side mirror covers, lower strips on the rocker panels, rear wing attachment for the stock retractable spoiler, and air intakes at the rear end.
Similar to the outside, customers can also get a uniquely treated interior bolstered by Alcantara. Also, the customers can pick their desired color and the custom shop will present a cabin "finished with greatest love of detail". On to the mechanicals now, the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 now produces 806 hp of maximum power and 878 Nm of peak torque. The modified droptop supercar now rides on concave hi-tech forged 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels at the front and the rear, respectively. Both the front and the rear alloys wear Pirelli P ZERO high-performance tyres.
Thanks to increased power output, the propped up McLaren 720S Spider can now do a 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and touch 200 kmph in a matter of 7.5 seconds. The top speed has also gone up from 341 kmph to 346 kmph. Besides that, also making its way to the supercar is the NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system which not only helps in the performance boost by reducing the backpressure but also ends up in allowing the V8 to return a much powerful and enticing exhaust note. While the McLaren 720S Spider N-Largo price is not out yet, the beefed-up droptop supercar is certain to cost a lot more than the standard model's price of $315,000.
