Peugeot previews e-308 E Style EV
Europe will get first dibs for the upcoming hatchback EV model
MANILA: Peugeot has previewed its upcoming e-308 E Style model as a “special series” designed to appeal more to budget-conscious electric vehicle (EV) buyers. As per the brand, it is essentially a more affordable version of the Peugeot e-308 EV.

The Peugeot E-308 E Style can produce up to 154 horsepower and 270 Newton-meters of torque.Notably, the Sochaux-based company said the EV will start at €37,230 (around P2.3 million). For perspective, the fully electric e-308 Allure in the UK starts at around €47,000 (P2.9 million).
The E-308 version will also come with a comprehensive warranty covering its batteries, electric motor, and other components spanning eight years. Furthermore, the vehicle will also be available for leasing at €249 (P15,792) per month for 37 months.
Concerning its propulsion unit, the e-308 E Style will use the same powertrain found on the Peugeot e-308 five-door EV hatchback sold in Europe. At the most, it can produce up to 154 horsepower and 270 Newton-meters of torque.
Thanks to its 54-kilowatt-hour battery, the upcoming EV hatch can cover up to 410 kilometers, as indicated by the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure. It will also use a three-phase 11-kilowatt charger capable of providing 20 percent to 80 percent charge levels in 30 minutes.
Other noteworthy features of the e-308 E Style include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a customizable 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electronic parking brake, and LED headlamps.
The carmaker will also equip the upcoming EV with 18-inch alloy wheels and sustainable transparent exopolymer particle fabrics for its seats. Other styling details, as well as the EV’s overall shape, will be carried over from the existing e-308.
Europe will get first dibs on Peugeot’s new EV model, but the French carmaker has yet to disclose its exact launch date.
In the Philippines, Peugeot, under the management of Astara Philippines, has already previewed the fully electric Peugeot e-2008 at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show. The marque has yet to launch the said EV crossover model, but some local buyers may also like the hatchback form factor being offered by the e-308 E Style.
