Peugeot UK introduces fully electric versions of 308 and 308 SW

MANILA: The new Peugeot e-308 and Peugeot e-308 SW have been added to the lineup of Peugeot's fully electric vehicles. The two new Peugeot 308 hatchback and station wagon models will also come in plug-in hybrid variants starting next year.

Peugeot e-308 and Peugeot e-308 SW are powered by a new electric powertrain that consists of a 156hp motor and a 54kWh high-voltage battery, giving them a range of up to 399km. Peugeot is one of the first European automakers to offer a fully electric station wagon.

Three driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – are offered to drivers so they may select the one that best suits the road they are on. There is also a Brake mode that lets the driver travel further while the accelerator pedal is released to maximize energy recovery. In addition to the onboard three-phase 11kW charger that comes with the car as standard, drivers can take advantage of 100kW fast charging, which will charge the battery from 20% to 80% in less than 25 minutes.

The new Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW are equipped with the latest version of driving aids to enable safe driving. These include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, long-range blind spot monitoring, and Rear Traffic Alert, which informs the driver of danger when reversing.

On the inside, the new Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW come with the Peugeot i-Cockpit, which features a central 10-inch touch screen, a compact, heated steering wheel, and a digital head-up display that can be configured. Peugeot has given special attention to the craftsmanship of the interior, innovation with fully customizable virtual i-toggles, and connectivity with the latest i-Connect Advanced technology, an infotainment system that enhances the experience and joy of driving and traveling.

The Allure and GT trim levels have a longer front bonnet, with Peugeot's new emblem prominently displayed in the center of the grille. The e-308 and e-308 SW also feature the fang-shaped light signature that surrounds the Matrix LED headlamps. They are also equipped with three-claw LED lights at the rear.

Both vehicles are fitted with 18-inch aluminum wheels, which were specially designed for aerodynamic efficiency and optimized performance.

The new e-308 and e-308 SW are the next steps toward Peugeot's goal of having an electrified version of every model in its lineup by 2025. The new models will be rolled out in UK dealerships in the second half of 2023.
