KEY TAKEAWAYS
What are the all-new Ford Mustang's variants?
The upcoming vehicle's trims are the Ecoboost Premium and GT Premium. Is the Sport the new top-of-the-line variant for the Ford Territory?
Yes, the Ford Territory Sport replaced the Titanium X variant on being the nameplate's top-tier option.Showcased inside the Blue Oval’s booth at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, the seventh-generation offering shall be on display for the whole four-day duration of the event — allowing event goers to see the vehicle up close.
It can be recalled that the highly-awaited American muscle car was officially revealed during the local celebration of the nameplate’s 60th anniversary.
Last month, Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Allen Breen said that the pony car will arrive in May.
All-new Mustang
Sporting a design language more aggressive compared to the outgoing version, the all-new Ford Mustang features sharper lines and edges to express a more athletic look.
It wears a front fascia that comes with tri-bar headlamps flanking the honeycomb grille while its low-slung silhouette side profile complemented the 19-inch aluminum wheels. The car’s rear wears a similar outline to the front, thanks to its tri-bar tail lamps.
The all-new Ford Mustang is fitted with Recaro sport leather seats, a 12-inch digital cluster, magnesium-framed 13-inch colored center display with Sync 4 technology and enhanced voice recognition, and a wireless charging dock.
Under the displayed vehicle’s hood is a 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. However, the model is also being retailed with a 2.3-liter mill.
Below are the all-new Ford Mustang’s two variants:
- Ecoboost Premium: P3.499 million
- GT Premium: P3.999 million
Ford Territory Sport
Aside from the Mustang, Ford Philippines has also brought to the event the new Territory Sport.
Retailed as the Territory’s top-spec variation, the small sport utility vehicle’s newly-launched option — which took its cues from the Titanium X variation (now nameplate’s midgrade alternative) —comes with a distinct visual upgrade.
Blacked-out trimmings and accents inside and out are the main aesthetic differences compared to the Territory's lower variants.
Powering the vehicle is the same 1.5-liter Ecoboost engine that can dish out as much as 158 horses and 248 Newton-meters of torque. It is matched to a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.
The new Territory Sport is priced at P1.625 million.
Other models
Ford Philippines also made available other Ford vehicles namely the Ranger and Everest.
Customers who will test drive and reserve a Ford vehicle during the event may enjoy exclusive offers and deals. They can also learn more about the next-generation Ford ownership experience at the booth with offerings and services such as FordPass, Pickup and Delivery, Express Service, Scheduled Service Plan, Extended Warranty, Emergency Roadside Assistance, and Genuine Parts and Accessories.
“We always look forward to being part of the Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival. This gives us a great opportunity to showcase our Ford vehicles and innovative service offerings to the Filipino motoring public outside a Ford dealership,” Breen said.
“This year, we’re bringing our Ford vehicle line-up led by the all-new Mustang and new Territory Sport to the Ford booth and allow customers to marvel at their iconic styling, design, and features.”
