Porsche PH unveils 'curated' Cayenne Exclusiv
MANILA: Porsche Philippines officially makes available the 2022 Cayenne Exclusiv that features enhanced digital technologies and convenience features. This special variant transforms the Cayenne into an even more practical, luxurious, and high-powered “sports car for the family.” It is specifically curated for the discerning expectations of customers in the Philippines.
The 2022 Cayenne Exclusiv carries the nameplate’s identity as the ultimate sport-luxury SUV. Over the years, the Cayenne has become a successful Porsche model as it continued to tap into new markets and in 2020, it achieved the one-million sales milestone.
The new Cayenne variant features numerous intelligent technologies including park assist with surround view, which alerts the driver when it detects obstructions in front and rear of the vehicle through audio and visual warning; and the Porsche Entry & Drive, which automatically allows entry into the vehicle and access to the luggage compartment. It also comes with a four-zone automatic climate control system and 20-inch Cayenne Sport wheels.
The Cayenne Exclusiv also comes standard with LED main headlights with PDLs, LED taillight strip, the Porsche Advanced Cockpit operating concept, the Porsche Communication Management with navigation module, and Connect Plus Module. The SUV also features the Porsche Active Suspension Management air suspension, automatically dimming mirrors, and Bose Surround sound system.
Aside from the numerous features that the Cayenne Exclusiv offers, it also delivers the typical high-powered Porsche performance. The vehicle is powered by a turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine that churns out 340hp and 450Nm of torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in just 6.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 245kph.
The engine is mated to an improved eight-speed tiptronic S gearbox, which helps deliver sportiness and on- and off-road comfort. The shorter response times and sportier ratios in the lower also help improve the vehicle’s performance and capabilities. Moreover, the transmission’s tall eighth gear ratio ensures low torque output, optimized fuel consumption, and relaxed driving experience.
The Cayenne is heavily inspired by Porsche’s iconic 911 sports car. It comes with an active all-wheel drive and Porsche 4D Chassis Control to ensure comfortable seating for five. These systems make the SUV agile, secure, and safe to drive.
In the first half of the year, Porsche recorded a total of 153,656 deliveries worldwide, representing a 31% increase versus the same period in 2020. The Cayenne emerged as the most successful model as it recorded a total of 44,050 deliveries, which is 12% more than last year. Porsche’s deliveries in Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East increased by quarter overall, with the Cayenne making up the majority of sales.
