Pump price update: Kerosene, diesel down by P0.10, gasoline up
MANILA: With the start of a new month, motorists will experience an increase in the price of gasoline and a decrease in kerosene and diesel.
In separate advisories, fuel companies Shell, Seaoil, Petro Gazz, Petron, Flying V, Chevron (Caltex), Phoenix Petroleum, and Cleanfuel announced that, beginning today, diesel prices will be down by P0.10 per liter while gasoline prices are up by P0.10 per liter.
Shell, Petron, Flying V, Chevron, and Seaoil also announced the decrease of kerosene prices by P0.10 per liter.
Meanwhile, Petron confirmed a P0.15-per-kilogram increase in LPG prices. Auto LPG price will also be up by P0.10 per liter. This is indicative of the global international contract price of LPG for September.
The changes in diesel, kerosene, and gasoline prices reflect the movement in the international market.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at US$43.15 per barrel while the global standard Brent crude attained the $46.00 level to date.
