San Juan City gets rapid test kits from Auto Nation Group
MANILA: Auto Nation Group, the exclusive distributor of premium automotive brands Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram in the Philippines, recently donated COVID-19 rapid test kits to select local governments in Metro Manila.
The vehicle distributor partnered with Project ARK, a movement of private companies spearheaded by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) with the leadership of Presidential Advisor for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion. This is an initiative of private companies and corporations to purchase rapid test kits for donation to barangays, municipalities, and cities of their choice or to where they belong.
Last June 23, Auto Nation Group Chief Operating Officer Francis Jonathan Ang, along with Project ARK representatives Go Negosyo Deputy Executive Director Aeron Morado and Go Negosyo Finance and Administration Head Sophia Ramos turned over anti-body rapid test kits to the local government of San Juan.
The test kits were received by Mayor Francis Zamora in his office at the San Juan City Hall (photo below shows him with ANG COO Francis Ang). In main photo are Zamora and Ang with Project ARK Representatives Sophia Ramos and Aeron Morado,
In a statement, Ang said, “We have partnered with the Project ARK and we are thankful to this initiative of Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship. Through this program, we are able to extend help to communities and the most vulnerable among us.”
He added, “We are pleased to donate Innovita 2019-nCoV Ab Test COVID 19 rapid test kits to San Juan. We aim to help the city boost its capacity to determine the extent and curb the spread of the virus. We believe that this small act of kindness could go a long way, and we hope the provision of these test kits will be instrumental to many lives.”
In a bid to keep its own people and customers safe, Auto Nation Group has adjusted its service processes and operations to align with the ideal safety protocols. In addition, the company has conducted a similar COVID-19 anti-body rapid test to all its returning employees when it resumed operation last May 18, 2020.
Last month, Mercedes-Benz Philippines launched the "Mercedes-Benz AI: Adapt x Innovate" program to provide customers with a safe environment on their next visit to any Mercedes-Benz facilities. Common areas are sanitized, strict adherence to physical distancing is observed, and the wearing of personal protective equipment of employees on duty is required. Hand-washing areas have been made available, as well as safety reminders on site. Mercedes-Benz also reinforces the use of technology to provide its customers ease and comfort in doing business. It has strengthened its online presence and capabilities to bring a safer, more convenient, and more contactless customer experience.
Jeep Philippines also enforces strict health measures in its showrooms and service centers for the safety of the public. All vehicles that go in and out of the facilities are required to undergo disinfection following the Jeep Clean-Touch System. All personnel strictly adhere to proper hygiene practices and are equipped with face mask and face shield while in the workplace. To minimize physical contact, Jeep makes brochures and other documents available online and may be sent to interested customers directly and digitally.
