Select BMW dealers offer RFID sticker installation

MANILA: Some BMW dealerships will be open for Autosweep Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) sticker installation until January 30, 2021. The project is undertaken in cooperation with Autosweep RFID and SMC Tollways Corporation.

Limited slots will also be open to all motorcycle and automobile brands with a displacement of 400cc and above.

BMW vehicle owners and customers are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to install their Autosweep RFID tags at their own convenience. This will also enable them to communicate with their respective dealerships for booking of appointments to guarantee rapid processing and availability.

Once an appointment has been scheduled, the applicants can go to their preferred dealerships from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The specific BMW dealerships are:

RSA Motors Alabang

Molito Lifestyle Center, Madrigal Business Park, Commerce Avenue Alabang, Muntinlupa City,  Metro Manila

RSA Motors Libis

184 Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Ave, Bagumbayan, Quezon City, 1110 Metro Manila

Eton Centris, EDSA cor. Quezon Ave, Quezon City, Metro Manila

To comply with the implementation of cashless and contactless transactions in tollways care of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), San Miguel Corporation has also enforced cashless toll collection since November 2, 2020.

The coverage of the Autosweep RFID includes the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway, and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

Until January 11, 2021, cash payments will also be allowed on Autosweep RFID toll roads.

This effort is in line with the dedication of BMW to offer convenient and secure driving experiences to its customers and to the motoring public. It also supports all initiatives to aid in the mitigation of COVID-19 transmission in the Philippines.

For motorists who would like to take advantage of this service, they need to book their appointment online here and complete the application form on or before the said deadline.

Moreover, upon installation of the RFID tag, an initial load of P200 is required.
