Shell PH honors vaccinated Filipinos, station attendants on National Heroes Day
MANILA: In celebration of National Heroes Day last August 30, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation recognized the everyday Filipino — from vaccinated citizens to its station attendants—as modern heroes for their contributions in keeping communities safe and the economy running amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In line with this, Shell launched the “Salamat sa mga Bakunadong Bayani” campaign which gives special deals and discounts to Filipino motorists whenever they present their vaccination cards at Shell stations.
From August 23 to September 12, vaccinated motorists can get discounts on Shell fuels and Shell Select, limited-edition merchandise using Shell Go+ points, and free one-liter fuel with every purchase of Shell lubricants.
According to Pilipinas Shell FuelSave Brand Manager Vanessa Ejercito, this special offer aims to make customers’ daily journeys safer and more convenient. “Let us all do our part to keep moving the Philippines forward by getting vaccinated,” she added.
On the other hand, Shell Mobility Operations Manager Tabbee Bagadion-Puertas honored the Shell station attendants, also known as Service Champions, for their commitment and dedication as Shell’s frontliners. She reminded the Service Champions to protect their health in order to keep their loved ones safe as well. She said, “’Wag kakalimutan na habang inaalagaan niyo ang inyong mga customer, dapat inaalagaan niyo rin ang inyong mga sarili. Importante na magpabakuna laban sa COVID-19 (While you’re taking good care of our customers, don’t forget to also take care of yourselves. It is important to be vaccinated against COVID-19).”
To ensure the safety of frontline personnel and customers, Shell previously launched the “Good Jab!” nationwide vaccination campaign for around 17,000 Service Champions attending over 1,100 Shell Mobility sites across the Philippines and serving around one million customers daily. The program supports the inoculation of Service Champions with their respective LGUs by giving them incentives and monitoring their vaccination status.
Apart from improving customer experience, Shell also strives to promote safety as a shared responsibility through initiatives like Shell Bakuna Benefits and Good Jab! to continuously serve all its partners and customers.
