In accordance with its vision, Solar Transport will soon open its 4,000-square-meter flagship dealership along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. This two-story facility will feature a full-service center and a grand showroom that will showcase all fully-electric BYD models offered in the Philippines.
Solar Transport and Automotive Resources, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Andrew Tieng underscored the company's commitment to zero-emission sustainability through BYD electric vehicles, saying, “It has been a mission of Solar Transport since a decade ago to ensure that we invest in the environment so that we could all have a sustainable future.”
Since 2013, Solar Transport has been a leading innovator in electric vehicle distribution in the Philippines. Solar Transport has brought in the powerhouse lineup of BYD in the country, which includes the Dolphin, Han, and Tang. As a dealer, Solar Transport will work together with AC Motors, the new BYD distributor in the Philippines. Furthermore, Solar Transport will continue to be the authorized distributor for BYD material handling equipment in the Philippines.
With the collaboration of the two companies, it is expected that there will be a significant increase in the number of electric vehicles on Philippine roads, both inside and outside Metro Manila. This partnership is also anticipated to foster the development of a stronger ecosystem within the electric vehicle industry.
